Mums and Bubs

Introducing Mums and Bubs Groups!

Starting August 2025 at the BCP Hub on John Street, Warners Bay

The BCP Hub is a newly renovated facility with its focus on Babies, Children and Parents (BCP!). It is fully accessible, has ample street parking, access to a kitchenette, toilets and baby changing. Everything we need to spend a comfortable morning together!
As a doula I place strong emphasis on community (that's why I'm The Village Doula!). I also believe in building your capacity so that your motherhood journey can continue to flourish long after you finish working with me. As part of that I am excited to introduce these Mum and Bubs sessions!

As facilitator of the group I aim to provide a place of care and comfort where mums feel free to explore the topics without judgement but with understanding.

Session Outlines

Our six week series invites expert guest speakers to cover topics such as sleep, maternal depletion and nutrition, infant feeding, baby first aid and starting solids.
Group sizes are a maximum of 12 mums and their babies to ensure plenty of time for discussion and chat.
Alongside the guest speakers the group is expertly facilitated by Aly as topics such as identity, resilience and caring for self are explored.

Aly brings a wealth of experience as a neonatal and paediatric regustered nurse before moving into counselling space and work as a doula.
Aly is also a certified infant massage instructor and CPR/ First Aid trainer.

She combines all this wisdom to guide and facilitate the sessions, not to mention her own motherhood journey which deeply influences her work.
A delicious and nutritioua moerning tea is servied each week and a take home goody bag is provided for all mums, packed full of resources and little gifts to help you relax and recharge.

Session One:
We begin by gathering as a group and enjoying a nourishing morning tea together.
We then move into a circle time where we begin to get to know one another and reflect on motherhood so far. Babies are free to lie on a play mat, snuggle with mum or feed as they need to.
The first weeks presentation and discussion is with me, Aly, where we explore the topic of matrescence and identity in motherhood.
We reflect on this together in an open, non-judgemental environment where questions and conversation are encouraged.
We close with time for social chat and you leave with a beautiful self care goody bag for you to take home and enjoy.
