Meet Aly – The Village Doula Welcome, I’m Aly – also known as The Village Doula. I’m passionate about supporting families, and especially mums, as they navigate the many phases of motherhood. As a busy mum of three, I understand the challenges that family life can bring. Whether you’re a first-time parent, navigating life after loss, or juggling multiple little ones all needing your attention at once—I’ve lived it, and I truly get it. My Background Before becoming a doula, I spent two decades as a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse. I then retrained as both a counsellor and postpartum doula, combining these skills to provide a unique and holistic approach to support. My Approach I believe in holding the mother, not just the baby (though I’m always happy for a cuddle if you need a break!). My focus is on nurturing you, because protecting and strengthening the connection between mother and child is at the heart of everything I do. I also believe it “takes a village”—but many of us don’t have that village, or don’t know how to ask for help. That’s why I created The Village Doula: to help you feel supported, heard, and connected. Through counselling, coaching, and community, I’ll work with you to find your voice, build your capacity, and create more joy in family life—so it feels less like just surviving. My Services I offer: Postpartum doula packages Infant massage instruction Mums & bubs groups I live on the west side of Lake Macquarie and service Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, the Central Coast, and parts of the Hunter. Let’s Connect If you’re looking for support, I’d love to walk alongside you. Whatever that looks like for your family, we can work it out together.

The Village Doula acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land on which I live, work and play. I pay my respects to elders past and present, and acknowledge that this was, is and always will be Aboriginal Land
